Mechanisms of Accountability

ESPOL gives periodic reports on the activities carried out in the university, where there are various mechanisms in place to inform the community and the wider public about its activities:

- ESPOL conduct weekly sessions of the Polytechnic Council, the highest collegiate organ of the university, which are public and open to the public in general
- The Resolutions of the Polytechnic Council are published on the ESPOL web page ,http://www.resoluciones.espol.edu.ec/ and may be found at the link in Accountability/ Resolutions on this website
- All purchases made by the university are carried out through the website of State Purchases,www.compraspublicas.gov.ec The information relating to ESPOL is published on the website www.transparencia.espol.edu.ec
- The Rector of ESPOL informs the ESPOL community and the community in general annually in the annual report for the year closing, which is also delivered physically in the Presentation of Annual Report; additionally, it can also be found in digital format on the web page of Transparency
- This year, 30,000 copies of the annual Report were disseminated in conjunction with one of the latest publications of the newspaper “El Universo” in the month of February 2009
- The Annual Reports are also shared and sent to other universities and CONESUP, together with allied institutions
- The annual Plan of Operations (POA) is distributed to members of the ESPOL community, and may also be found published on the Transparency web page
- The annual Strategic Plan is distributed in a workshop in November of the current year, to the community and its allies, as well as being published on the Transparency web page
